Syrian children killed in airstrikes by Russian planes

Russian-made fighter jets bombarded residential areas in the village of Bara in Jabal al-Zawiya in the northwest province of Idlib, killing at least 16 people, including seven children and five women.
Russian warplanes earlier shelled eastern suburbs of the capital, Damascus, continuing air raids despite an internationally brokered ceasefire.
Warplanes hit the adjacent suburbs of Zamalka, Arbeen, Harasta and Zamalka on Sunday.
Electricity, water and communications were cut and dozens of wounded at the Harasta National Hospital were moved as the bombardment closed in.
In the nearby suburb of Douma, freedom fighters attacked roadblocks, and clashed with Assadites in Qadam district.
Shelling and clashes were also took place in the eastern Deir al-Zor province.
Fighting also broke near Maaret al-Numan, a town along the Aleppo-Damascus highway that rebels seized earlier this month. Freedom fighters also besieged a nearby Assadite military base and repeatedly attacked their supply convoys heading there.
